Tourists Swim And Drink Urine To Survive

Ten shipwrecked tourists in Indonesia swam for six hours to safety on an island after their boat went down last weekend.

They survived Saturday night on Sangeang island by drinking their own urine and eating leaves.

They were rescued on Sunday by a passing boat after their tourist vessel had sunk in a storm between Lombok and Komodo in the east of Indonesia.

Thirteen others in a lifeboat were also rescued. Because of limited space the ten decided to swim three miles to the nearby island of Sangeang, only to find an erupting volcano.

The tourists from Britain, New Zealand, Spain, France, Germany and the Netherlands are recovering in hospital, but two are still missing, according to: http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/aug/18/two-britons-swim-six-hours-boat-sinks-indonesia.
