SAFETY

This happy couple hug and smile after escaping from the terrors in Syria.

Their dinghy, packed with 30 other immigrants, beached safely on the Greek island of Lesvos.

Immediately they texted back to their families in their war-torn homeland that they were safe, having finally made it into Europe.

Their first contact with Europeans were a Greek man and woman who gave them bottles of water, which the Greeks paid for from their own pockets, even though they are in economic turmoil.

Human beings helping human beings must be the most saintly act on Earth.
