Princess Mary receives Christiania Angel

The Crown Princess of Denmark has received “with great pleasure” a copy of the just published novel Christiania Angel.

Princess Mary received a copy at her home in Amalienborg, Fr. V111’s Palace, in Copenhagen.

The novel was posted to her with a short note: “We hope you enjoy this funny future fairytale about the adventures of angelic Freja and handsome Hans Christian O’Reilly Andersen.”

Christian Schønau, Chief of the Court, chamberlain, sent a reply for Princess Mary stating: “Her Royal Highness The Crown Princess has asked me to thank you very much for your kind letter and the book Christiania Angel. The book was received with great pleasure.”

During the 200th anniversary celebrations of Hans Christian Andersen,  (in 2005), Princess Mary and her husband, Prince Frederik – the next in line to the Danish crown – marked the anniversary in London, New York and in Australia, where Princess Mary was made Honorary Hans Christian Andersen Ambassador to Australia.

Princess Mary is globally known as a woman of high standards, and no doubt she will enjoy our freaky fairytale about Denmark’s unique freetown in Copenhagen.

Princess Mary – renowned for her breath taking, classic looks – was crowned the Most Stylish Royal for the second year running in August.
