Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, helps to fledge Dazzle Eagles.

APPLE’S TIM COOK must be the most attentive CEO on the planet – he even helped to fledge our novel Dazzle Eagles.

If there were only more CEOs like him what a wonderful world this could be.

We had problems trying to upload our Cli-Fi novel Dazzle Eagles to iBooks.

Now we cannot blame Apple for we don’t know what the problem was, but it could have had to do with wee Ireland being one of the few places on the globe without post codes.

Sure why would us Irish need post codes; you just write a name and a townland, and the postman will find you.

Everyone knows over here what you are having for breakfast, and what room you slept in last night.

But the outside world seems to be a different place to the laid-back Emerald Isle.

Postal services, citizens and businesses need zip codes, and you can be denied services on the Internet if you don’t insert your code.

Our IT expert Zoe and helpful Apple folk tried to sort the mess out, but it didn’t seem solvable.

Many times when you get angry you say, “I’m going to contact the main man.”

But how do you do that?

Numerous companies do not provide an email to connect with them directly.

And countless bosses purposely stay hidden from customers.

European law-makers even had to force cut price companies like airlines to provide an email address for their customers’ complaints.

Tim Cook, Steve Jobs’ successor, as the head of Apple, is an early bird who works on his emails before going to work.

So we sent him an email, and little did we think that a busy man like Apple’s CEO would have time for tiny writers like us.

Sure hasn’t he over 50,000 employees in America alone to look after, and a half a million people indirectly working for the tech giant in the US.

Not many countries on Earth have a GDP greater than what Apple is worth. Apple’s revenue would put it 58th in the world, ten places behind Ireland, with a higher GDP than Bangladesh.

If its 80,000 workers were citizens, Apple would have a per capita GDP of $1.875 million. Ireland’s is around $45,000.

And hasn’t Tim Cook to guard Apple’s cash coffers of around $150 billion.

But within a few hours of sending our email we received a reply from Mister Cook himself – very fast when allowing for the difference in time zones.

Tim Cook must be up before the birds, stretching his wings, and working before the dawn has its first yawn.

Within a short time our issue was solved – thank you Mister Cook.

What an amazing response from a real person at the top of the largest company in the entire world who has time for the little guy.

With managers like Tim Cook there is no wonder that Apple continues its meteoric rise, and why its products are the most sought after electronics on the globe.

Maybe Apple is on it way to being a trillion dollar company, and maybe it is succeeding because its CEO, Tim Cook, is also interested in little lads like us.

We hope all those other almighty CEOs will follow Tim Cook’s dedication to the small customer.
